State of Advocacy – How to keep relevant in the times of global disruption?

Lukasz is a Managing Director and senior advisor with Leidar, an international advocacy-focused consultancy based in Geneva with offices in Brussels, London, Dubai and Oslo. He is proud to support international companies, organisations and NGOs in developing effective engagement strategies, processes and measurement frameworks.

In 2019 he published the book «Advocacy and Organizational Engagement». He is a speaker at international conferences and developed the Executive Certificate Advocacy in International Affairs in partnership with the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.

Lukasz holds a PhD in management studies from the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, with the highest distinction, ‘summa cum laude’. His research focused on the role of organisational learning and Corporate Social Responsibility in corporate communication strategic management. He also holds an MA in communication from the University of Geneva, Switzerland and a BA in anthropology, providing him with an audience-centric perspective.

 

 

Catherine is Director of Communications and Policy at the Global Self-Care Federation – a federation of associations and manufacturers of non-prescription medicines representing responsible self-care. Catherine has been leading the federation’s communications, policy and advocacy efforts since 2019.

As an experienced communications expert, she has extensive history working in the healthcare space internationally in both corporate and not for profit sectors having previously worked for Alcon, Medtronic, the International Osteoporosis Foundation, and in PR consulting at Weber Shandwick.

A British national, Catherine holds an MBA and Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Manchester and has been living in Switzerland for the past 15 years.

 

 

Alexandre Munafò is Director of Strategic Partnerships and Communications at Interpeace. In this capacity, he oversees the organization’s global diplomatic engagement with key governmental partners and donors. His responsibilities also include Interpeace’s global communications efforts. Alexandre brings with him more than 14 years of experience. He joined Interpeace in 2008 and has since held several positions, including Legal Advisor and External Relations Officer. He is currently member of Interpeace’s Senior Management Team

Alexandre is member of the Geneva Diplomatic Club and founding member of the Association AGIR. He is also Chair of the Board of ASED (Action for the Support to Deprived Children), a Geneva-based organization supporting access to quality education in 6 developing countries. 

Alexandre holds an Executive Certificate on Advocacy in International Affairs and a Diploma of Advanced Studies in International Relations with a specialization in International Law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. He also holds a BA in Law from the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. He is married and has two children.
